U6SA Members,
I am not going to be at bridgeport for a while so please move this information along at the drivers meeting for me if you would.
Thanks
Rick Stief
U6SA Members,
Thank you for the response to the voting on the two issues at hand. Both of the issues passed. The wingless weight rule was passed unanimously. The RPM tolerance change was passed 18 For and 4 Against.
This week at your races, please hold a 600 drivers meeting, make them aware of the change, it will go into affect the weekend of June 12th.
The Kawasaki race boxes can be modified by either Guhl Motors or Hyper Racing, both companies are doing the service free of charge. If a racer is unsure of what kind of box they have, I recommend a rev check be performed. If the rev limit recall is hitting higher than 14900, they will need to get it changed. A stock box will hit around 14,650 to 14,800.
Thank You,
Mike Dicely
U6SA Director

also
be in action. Gates open at 5:00 PM with the first race starting
at

Are some drivers loosing it and driving over their heads. Does
Bridgeport need to reign in these drivers and put an end to all the
over aggressive driving causing the massive damage to cars out on
the track. Is someone going to have to get hurt before something is
done? Just some thoughts from your website facilitator. Send me your
thoughts and ideas to info@localmicros.com

In looking to continuously grow and add content to the website to
help keep racers and fans informed we are reaching out to see if
anyone is interested in writing stories about the racing program for
Fast and Furious Fridays. Either on a weekly basis or monthly. Maybe
your views on the racing that night or your experience at the track
that night in the stands. Would you like to interview fans in the
stands or drivers and have it published here? Send me an email to

PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jason Rochelle Takes First Ever Keystone Legends Tour Win at
Bridgeport
(June 19, 2009 – Bridgeport, NJ) Jason Rochelle won the first
ever Keystone Legends Tour race at Bridgeport Speedway on Friday
night and used his victory to claim the point lead in the 2009
Tour standings. Rochelle started eighth, took the lead from early
pacesetter Paul McCollum, and held off a late race charge from
last week’s Linda’s Speedway winner, Justin Grim, to post his
second “A” main event win of the season. Although Rochelle drove
a solid race, he also had a bit of luck on his side when a
suspension failure at the checkers put his Cooper Motorsports #148
into the frontstretch wall just after the stripe.
Justin Grim turned in another strong performance to finish in the
runner-up spot, ahead of Paul McCollum, Clinton Penkauskas, and
John Gray. Todd McCollum, Howard Hunter, Jim Black, Drew Weisser,
and Ron Poley completed the top ten.
Rochelle and Tim Henry won heat races for the 18-car field.
The Keystone Legends Tour returns to the Linda’s Speedway dirt on
Friday, July 17th.
